The Rents
Alright, so these are my parents. I don't really know many people who have been there more for me in my life than these two, granted we have gone through some really trying times. My Dad and my relationship is deffinitely pretty unique-before the whole divorce thing, we didn't always see eye to eye, and we butted heads on more than one occasion( I always was a little hellion growing up), but I'd say we turned out ok. I know my choice to come into the Army was pretty hard on him, and even now we have our moments, but I miss him and still care about him and love him as much as ever. I owe him more for the things he taught and instilled in me while I grew up, and hope he knows that everyday.
Now, its time for that wonderful woman on the right of me. That would be my step mom, Denise who you'll hear me call "Mom" more often than anything. That would be because that's what she's been to me for the last oh what, 8 years now(or is it 9...hmmm)? She's deffinitely one of a kind...I don't think I've met anyone quite as sweet and generous as she has been to me and my dad and my sister. She has been there through some pretty rough times with us, and there's not a lot of people I can think of as highly as her(aside from my dad). She has been about as supportive as they come and I absolutely love her for it. We've gotta lot of good memories and these two I can't think of as being any more special to me! |
